Personal Background

Megan grew up in the suburbs of Austin and attended the University of Texas for her undergraduate degree. She moved to Fort Worth to pursue her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at Tarleton State University’s Fort Worth campus. She enjoys spending her free time reading, crafting, trying new restaurants, spending time in nature, and hanging out with her friends.

Areas of Treatment

Megan has had a passion for mental health and psychology since high school. In high school she began babysitting and working at a daycare and quickly realized that she wanted to have a career working with children. She attended the University of Texas at Austin receiving a bachelor’s of science in psychology. She had a focus on developmental psychology, attachment theory, and abnormal psychology. Megan began working in office administration at Austin’s Communication Station, an outpatient pediatric speech and occupational therapy clinic after graduating. She was able to learn and gain exposure to a variety of developmental concerns at this clinic. Here she grew an increased interest in ADHD, executive functioning, and social skills for children with developmental delays. Although she loves working with children, she provides therapy services to all ages and backgrounds. Megan’s focus is to create a safe and accepting environment for clients to explore their true selves and show them unconditional positive regard. Megan uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients understand how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected.
